We warmly welcome you to visit the Royal Swedish Opera – Sweden’s national theatre for opera and ballet and our historic Opera House!
BE THERE EARLY
Arrive in good time before the performance starts - preferably at least half an hour - you will have time to find your seat, check in your coat in the cloakroom and maybe eat and drink something. When the performance has started, no one is allowed into the auditorium until after the first interval.
LENGTH OF THE PERFORMANCE
To find out the length of a performance, check the “Our repertoire” section.
Tickets bought online can be printed or presented digitally on a smartphone or similar.
PHOTOGRAPHY & RECORDING
Please note that the use of cameras, video recorders, audio recorders or other types of recording equipment during performances is strictly forbidden.
The Royal Swedish Opera provides facilities for checking your outdoor clothing at our staffed cloakrooms. The charge is SEK 30 per person. Children’s coats can be checked free of charge. You can prepay the cloakroom fee online, or by credit or debit card at the main entrance. On the north side of the second balcony, you will find a free, unattended cloakroom.
There is no dress code at the Royal Swedish Opera, but a night at the opera is a great excuse to dressed up. Otherwise, wear whatever makes you feel comfortable.
Left something behind on your visit? Hopefully it ended up in our lost and found section. Give us a call on +46 (0)8 791 43 00 and we will take a look. Please note that unclaimed property will be disposed of after 30 days.
Keep in mind that many people are sensitive or allergic to strong scents. Please refrain from wearing perfume if you are visiting the Roayl Swedish Opera, thereby helping to make the visit a pleasant one for everyone.
For your security and convenience, all interval refreshments, the cloakroom charges, sale of programmes, the restaurants and terraces are cashless. You are welcome to pay by Swish, credit or debit cards.
