Hjärtat inuti (In The Heart Of It All) is a performance full of interactivity for the very youngest, primarily created for children with neurodiversity. It is set in a fascinating, constantly changing world – an imaginary journey in eight scenes that celebrates playfulness and imagination. Together with three dancers and one singer, the audience is immersed in a flux of spirited interplay of movement, songs and whispers within fantastical stage and costumes inspired by the microscopic world. This out-of-ordinary performance proposes diverse sensory experiences for all types of perception and encourages curiosity, exploration as well as relaxation and contemplation, within a safe environment.
The celebrated conceptual artist and choreographer Dalija Acin Thelander, the winner of the ASSITEJ International Artistic Excellence Award, is back with a work that offers an unexpected view of the world. In 2017, Dalija Acin Thelander created A Myriad Worlds, based on choreography, sound and space - a work for babies and their accompanying adults. The production went on tour to Hong Kong, the international theatre festival ASSITEJ, Kristiansand/Norway, and Malmö Opera.
In order for all children to get the most out of the experience, we have divided the performances into different audience groups. Every performance has an audience limit of 12 children.
Adjacent to the performance area there is a quiet space for the young audience, if there is a need to take a break from the performance. Please note that the ticket includes 1 child and 1 adult. If there is a need for an extra accompanying adult, contact biljett@operan.se. We have a limited number of extra attendant places.
The following performances are aimed at all children between 6 - 18 months. If you are booking for a preschool establishment, please refer to specific dates below.
For performances intended for children 6 months old up to 4 years with neurodiversity, see more information and dates here »
